NP Aerospace Dominates DSEI 2025 with Strategic Partnerships and New Capability

NP Aerospace had a record year at DSEI UK 2025. A pivotal event for the global defence industry, DSEI promotes the UK’s defence ethos, while encouraging opportunity and cooperation with global allies. The NP Aerospace stand received an extraordinary number of visitors; with the brand’s presence growing year on year, this was the largest exhibition to date with the greatest volume of announcements and highest level of engagement.

The theme for DSEI 2025 was ‘Preparing the Future Force’, reflecting the evolving needs of the UK’s defence sector. With a strong team presence across all areas of the business and an impressive range of armour and vehicle capability on display, NP Aerospace shared key announcements during the event, including the launch of Team Lionstrike with BAE Systems and GM Defense, a partnership with GTR Composites Group; a specialist with links to Formula 1, and the launch of a range of specialist women’s body armour.

Activity across both the Vehicle and Armour divisions of the business at DSEI 2025 was impressive, showcasing the full breadth of NP Aerospace’s capability.

Vehicles event activity

BAE Systems has joined GM Defense and NP Aerospace – as team LionStrike – to offer the UK Ministry of Defence a mobility solution to rapidly modernise its ground vehicle fleet for the Land Mobility Programme (LMP).

At the show team LionStrike unveiled the General Support Utility Platform (GSUP) for the first time in Europe; their core vehicle for the LMP bid. The GSUP is a rugged, high-performance, multi-mission vehicle designed for rapid configuration and deployment across a range of operational scenarios – delivering mobility, payload, capacity and flexibility.

The Foxhound vehicle, part of the UK MOD Protected Mobility Fleet managed by NP Aerospace as Engineering Authority, was displayed on the Saab stand with military grade camouflage for covert operations. The advanced multispectral camouflage net provides unrivalled sensor protection for vehicles and other assets in static positions.

NP Aerospace is working with the UK MoD on a project exploring the potential of additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, to enhance support for the UK Armed Forces. The project, known as TAMPA, aims to improve the availability and reliability of military equipment through bringing additive manufacturing into the Defence supply chain. 3D printing provides the ability to produce quality essential parts at speed. On display at the show was one of the largest additive manufacturing metal components produced for the military to date.

Also on show at the Tyron stand was the NP Aerospace offroad suspension system demonstrator, designed in conjunction with Horstman for Ridgeback and Mastiff British Army vehicles for use on operation in Mali, to improve off road performance.

Personal Protection event activity

NP Aerospace launched a new specialist women’s body armour range, at DSEI 2025. Designed and manufactured in the UK, this new product has been developed from the ground up to meet the distinct needs of women operating in high-risk environments.

For some time, NP Aerospace has been investing in internal R&D to develop solutions to address the anatomical and operational needs of servicewomen and others in need of such protection. The outcome of this programme is an optimised curved hard armour plate, that comes in a range of sizes and delivers an increase in both protection and comfort.

The ‘system’ requires an integrated solution with a curved hard armour plate and a women’s specific soft armour insert, all worn within a women’s specific carrier – developed with one of NP Aerospace’s soft armour partners, Logistik Unicorp. NP’s new product comes in a range of sizes with varying curvature and coverage.

Since the 1980s NP Aerospace has been manufacturing armoured plates and the company continues to innovate and evolve these products to improve and protect lives. The new women’s body armour was exceptionally well received at DSEI.

NP Aerospace isextending their high-performance, high-specification product offering and at DSEI showcased the new BZ API multi shot plate; a high-grade lightweight plate designed to stop armour-piercing ammunition. The NP Aerospace stand featured a complete Soldier Systems showcase with Logistik Unicorp.

NP Aerospace also unveiled a new lightweight helmet shell weighing less than 500g at their stand, appealing to OEM customers and partners.

NP Aerospace excels in personal protection and Bomb Disposal suit programmes, having supplied millions of combat helmets and body armour plates to NATO allies and delivered large scale bomb disposal suit programmes to world leading defence organisations.

Through integrating leading-edge composite materials and world class EOD engineering, NP Aerospace bomb disposal suits combine maximum protection with class-leading ergonomic performance and are tested in the most extreme of environments. Since launching the first bomb disposal suit in 2004 for British Forces in Northern Ireland, they have become a key part of the NP Aerospace survivability portfolio and are trusted by thousands of operators worldwide.

At DSEI 2025 the full NP Aerospace EOD portfolio was visible across the entire show, with EOD suits also utilised in live demonstrations from the UK Government Export Support Team and a showcase on the UK Department for Business and Trade stand, highlighting capabilities for international delegations.

The NP Aerospace NIJ certified 4030 ELITE suit, is one of only two suits in the world to have achieved this level of accreditation and is being specified for its ability to deliver optimum blast and fragmentation protection at a low weight. The 3020 ELITE is a scalable option that can be used for tactical operations or a lightweight EOD solution; it was on display at partner booth, ICP, for the 2025 show.

Success at DSEI 2025

The NP Aerospace media reception was very well attended, and the company’s announcements were met with considerable interest. Included in the hundreds of visitors to the stand were three MP visits, formal delegations and international visits. A new development highlight was the Platform Armour showcase – from hot formed armour to armour for truck cabs, the NP Aerospace team showed a full range of options. A very successful year for the rapidly growing company.
