NP Aerospace Canada reinforced its growing role in Canada’s defence sector at CANSEC 2026, engaging with government, military and industry stakeholders while showcasing its latest armour, survivability and vehicle systems capabilities.
For 2026 the defence, security and emerging technology event in Ottawa showcased leading-edge technologies, products and services for land-based, naval, aerospace and joint forces military units. A core team from the Canadian office, including CEO James Kempston presented the company’s full product portfolio from both the Armour and Vehicle divisions of the business.
NP Aerospace Canada, based in London, Ontario, specialises in armour technology and vehicle engineering and has built a reputation for delivering complex military survivability programs working with the Canadian Department of National Defence and law enforcement agencies. Over the past two years, the business has reported significant growth in revenues, doubling its facility floorspace and achieving a five-fold increase in its Canadian workforce. As NP Aerospace Canada celebrates more than 30 years of operations, new armour contracts are supporting the next phase of growth for the business.
It was a successful year for NP Aerospace at CANSEC with significant interest from attendees in the company’s capabilities, most notably its specialist Women’s Body Armour range, which stood out as a key highlight with both domestic and international audiences. Alongside showcasing innovation, the NP team progressed important conversations across core programs and partnerships, positioning the business for further growth. With strong visibility, positive customer feedback, and clear opportunities ahead, CANSEC 2026 marked another step forward in expanding NP Aerospace’s presence and impact in Canada.
Following the success at CANSEC, the recent announcement of a definitive agreement to acquire U.S.-based defence protection specialist Iten Defense will further strengthen NP Aerospace’s portfolio of survivability and protection technologies, expanding its ability to support defence and security customers around the world.
