At this year’s Enforce Tac event in Nuremberg, Germany, the NP Aerospace team showcased their full portfolio with a focus on EOD and counter threat. Enforce Tac continues to grow in scale and international reach and is a key calendar event for tactical teams and global military forces. The trade fair for security and defence supports dialogue between manufacturers and users in creating future-proof solutions. With their largest presence to date at the show, NP Aerospace hosted an interactive try on of their new Women’s Armour System, using a unique Matrix sizing system.
The new specialist NP Aerospace Women’s Body Armour range has been developed from the ground up to meet the distinct needs of women operating in high-risk environments. It delivers an increase in both protection and comfort. The range of curved hard armour plate systems have been optimised for women’s morphology, enabling servicewomen to train and fight without compromise. The Women’s Armour system is an integrated solution with a curved hard armour plate and a women’s specific soft armour insert, all worn within a women’s specific carrier – this has been developed in partnership with Logistik Unicorp.
The NP Women’s Armour plates are designed and manufactured in the UK and available in nine sizes. They are designed to accommodate a range of body shapes and breast volumes and provide effective coverage for 95% of servicewomen. Enforce Tac attendees experienced NP’s matrix-based sizing approach first-hand, with women visiting the stand having the opportunity to be measured to identify their optimal fit system. NP Aerospace representatives Seren White, Senior Project Engineer and Erin Grieve, Sales Manager – Personal Protection, led the Women’s Armour try-on and media interviews at the event. Seren White said: “We are driving greater inclusion in combat and specialist roles by removing barriers for women, while enhancing operational effectiveness through improved protection, fit and comfort. It was a real thrill to see our new Women’s Armour system, in the spotlight at Enforce Tac.”
Also on show at the NP Aerospace stand was the class-leading 4030 ELITE bomb disposal suit, which provides enhanced protection, ergonomic excellence, customisability and exceptional flexibility. With their 4030 ELITE suit, NP Aerospace are only one of two companies in the world to achieve NIJ certification for their bomb disposal suits. The 4030 ELITE is being specified for its ability to deliver optimum blast and fragmentation protection. Also attracting considerable attention from visitors was the new BZ API multi-shot plate; the ultra-light hard body armour plate delivers class-leading multi-hit and edge protection against named armour piercing ammunition and incorporates NP Aerospace’s patented crack mitigation system to deliver outstanding protection.
